I read this right after reading an article from the same site on how dangerous the deadlift is.

However, what they mean here is that they want to change the exercise before one finds a more efficient technique

Nice lack of understanding between proper form, and metabolic adaption...Can't be bothered with the rest it's written to confusingly.

Maybe I'm just spoiled by this site. In the Tribe forum people ask how to do something and sometimes there was a response, but a lot of the time Scott or an associate responded with a sales pitch for one of their videos.
Thank you Crossfit for the open, free exchange of info with wonderful insight from talented coaches.

I love how the articles are written with a tone reminiscent of an adult standing on the sidelines monitoring a discussion among children. But when the discussion misses the mark so much they just have to - as much as they hate to - jump in and straighten things out.

We should all be thankful for such compassion and presence of mind. I hope coach reads this so he can finally see what an error he has made with CrossFit.

I could, but I won't.

Ok, but just a short list of things that are bad at CST:

DL
stretching
All traditional MA
Yoga was bad but now is OK
Low carb was good but now is bad
CF was OK, but now, obviously, is bad

These are the kinds of dictums that can really stir stuff up. Good thing that kind of stuff never happens here.

It's a matter of time before KBs are bad and dangerous.

The funny thing is that Kelly Moore and Lynne Pitts kicked A$$ at the ICS (Clubbell equivalent to KB GS) and also won a pullup bet for dinner.

Obviously, Sonnon has some good stuff. People like Kelly, Lynne, Steve Maxwell use it. So, that must say something about it.

It's a shame he can't just let his material speak for itself. He's certainly not going to prove it's efficacy by putting down Crossfit or Deadlifts (which I wonder if PTP isn't the target of that article).

Funny that Scott should start a paragraph called "increased Sophistication" by using the word "penultimate" incorrectly. Thus stating that efficiency is the next to last definition of human mastery. WTF?!?!?!

Clearly his misunderstanding of Crossfit and its principles can be directly traced to his misunderstand of the English language as a whole. Or perhaps he dropped a clubbell on his head.

I believe this is just marketing for his new website and book: "Circular Reasoning" by Scott Sonnon.
