Had a crazy itch to run home from work today despite the fact that I haven't run more than 20 feet since I popped my Achilles in late November. Add to that a nice stiff wind that made running downhill seem like running uphill and made running uphill even worse.

So 5.5 km of rolling terrain with my 15 lb backpack went by in ~30 minutes and I'm not as wasted as I thought I'd be. I'm pretty stoked actually, figured I'd pull up lame after 1k or so.

Started with air squats in mid March and slowly progressing to near WOD performances has done me good.

Thanks, Crossfit! I'm gonna go jump on my C2 now :-)

Congratulations!
It takes some guts & good judgement to get back using an injured limb.
I also had torn my Achilles in 2001, thank GOD it's fully healed!
No problems now.
Glad you got out there!
