Tony Blauer's High Gear

I've used the gear and love it, and Tony has been a big supporter of the CF community. Now some knock-offs are showing up that I wrote about in a blog post (WFS).

Re: Tony Blauer's High Gear

The High Gear knock-off issue has always been one of the most extreme examples of the blow-back which occurs often in gear manufacturing.

Re: Tony Blauer's High Gear

Wayne thanks for posting.

James great point - it's a risk every product faces. The copy.

However in this case there are special circumstances many don't realize and that is, this copy is by a former employee who went to my old manufacturer who still had our dyes and patterns. They have used all that material without my consent. they've also contacted my customers directly and used near identical photos to promote their gear - it's sad and unethical.

So this isn't capitalism it's "capitalizing" and then some.

For anyone interested Got to my Facebook page and scroll down, also here is a link to some side by side graphical examples: http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fb...9811125&type=1

Thanks

Tony

Re: Tony Blauer's High Gear

That is why I said your situation is one of the "most extreme" cases. It is on a higher level of knock-off.

I got the story from LBT guys a while back and was a bit shocked how far the knock-off went. It is an unfortunate factor which everyone in business has to spend resources on, instead of just moving innovation forward.

I am glad that High Gear moved onto better things. It is a great innovative product.

Re: Tony Blauer's High Gear

My pleasure Tony. High Gear is a great product and people should know the story of some of the competitors out there.
