I need guidance on CF operations...Please!

I am in the process of opening a CF facility and if all goes well Affiliate. I take the Level 1 Cert this coming weekend (been participating in Cf over 1 yr), I have already visited several locations and chose my prime location. I have done much reading online and on this forum, if there is any one who already runs his own affiliate and is willing to help out a US Marine who just got back from overseas and is looking to take some of that hard earned $ and set up a box in my town for the whole community to benefit from, I would greatly appreciate it. I have a week to get in contact with the owner of the space, I just want to make sure I have all the right steps and necessary sites to purchase the equipment before I go head on with this. Thank you in advance to anyone that extends his hand out.

john@crossfitagoge.com, any thing that I can help with from afar, well my time is yours, what little I have to give.

Good news -- CrossFit Watertown is less than an hour away from you. Contact jen@crossfitwatertown.com and get her cell number and talk her ear off. (She's our General Manager.) If you can, come and visit us. We'll tell you everything we know and we can answer any of your questions about affiliation, CrossFit, websites, etc.

Oh -- and you can listen to that John Brown guy too. He's okay.

Good luck!

I second that about John...met him at Crossfit Kids Cert and he has always been willing to answer questions and help out. I just need to take him up on his willingness to share information more often...

Re: I need guidance on CF operations...Please!

I know this is a pretty old post, but we are also looking for some similar help. We have been involved with the CF community in various capacities for over 2 yrs and have been reading the boards, visiting other affiliate sites etc. like crazy to learn whatever we can about affiliation, but it is no substitute for actual guidance. I wanted to see if John was still willing to offer any help? I figured I would ask before dropping an email.

We "think" we have a good game plan based on our experience with CF and the great roadmap laid before us by the other affiliates, however, it would be really nice to know this "plan" is on the right track because I know we are probably messing something up!

Rob,

He's helped alot of affiliates, so I hear. However, if you've done your research, took what's helped others, learn from their mistakes.....there is more than just one way to make a business successful. Although, like I said...they do have a pretty good track record.
