Re: Dietary Confessions of a Crossfitter

I have...no confessions to report! I made it a whole week without cheating! I'm amazed at myself. Haha.

Re: Dietary Confessions of a Crossfitter

Wasted Cheat Alert!

I used to LOVE movie theater popcorn. Couldn't go to a movie without it. Decided my cheat this week would be a big tub of buttered popcorn. First 20% was great. Then, started to feel sick. The popcorn tasted like styrofoam packing peanuts.

Why, oh why did I stray from my traditional fried potato cheat? Those never let me down. Oh well.

Re: Dietary Confessions of a Crossfitter

Got a fitday log...7 pieces of pizza looks funny on there. here it is if you're interested.

http://fitday.com/fitness/PublicJour...Owner=black3jd wfs - unless you count today's pizza.

Hardest part about the pizza was knowing I had to put it in my log. Which means it works..

Look, they don't send gallon jugs of life giving cow fluid in care packages to Afghanistan, unfortunately! hahahaha

Re: Dietary Confessions of a Crossfitter

Great thread btw.

My contribution - vacation started yesterday and will continue for two weeks. I've already had enough beer, wine, good cheeses and icecream to last the entire vacation, and it will only get worse from here. Well, hopefully I can manage to leave it at one week and train hard and eat right the following week... *fingers crossed*

Man. I made it all last week without cheating. I've gone this week without cheating, but for some reason I feel cravings welling up in me wanting bad food.

Must fight the urge!

Re: Dietary Confessions of a Crossfitter

Hi. My name is Christine and this is my first dietary confession.

Last night was me and my husband's 3 year anniversary, so we went all out. Here's the 4 course menu:
Amuse Bouche: Crab and Mango Salad on toasted sour dough, with peppered mayonnaise
Appetizer: Niagara “Pingue” Prosciutto and Salami, Bosc pears, aged Parmesan cheese, caviar, bread sticks
Main Course: Roast Breast of Moscovy Duck, Apple Sausage, Beamsville sour cherry salad, Niagara sweet Merlot vinaigrette, thyme jus (to drink: a bold Amarone Italian red wine)
Dessert: Ontario Apple and Blueberry Crumble, Ginger white chocolate ice cream, candied lemon crème Anglaise (to drink: Espresso)

Yes, it was a fantastic dinner, but I am indeed suffering from a severe food hang-over today. 90% of the time I am a strict 11 block zone follower, so this is a sure reminder of how good it feels to put in the effort to weigh and measure!
