How's it going at CrossFit Fredericton?

Hey fellow Canadian CrossFitters. I've seen many reoprts on the news this week regarding the severe flooding going on in your part of the country, and although I don't personally know anyone from New Brunswick, I couldn't help but think of you guys. (I see Anthony and Jodi's posts on the message board all the time.) Even though I don't know you, I just wanted to say I hope you guys are doing okay out there, and my thoughts are with you!

Christine

Re: How's it going at CrossFit Fredericton?

Thanks Christine!

It's not good for homes and basements, but I don't think it's life threatening to anyone. Most of the downtown core is shut down, our office shut down for the rest of the week, limited access to both bridges, etc, etc.

At least one of our people has a flooded basement, but so far his main floor is safe.

Luckily our gym is safe - well out of the flood zone.

I put a few pictures up at: http://www.crossfitfredericton.com/t...lood-2008.html (wfs)

Wow that's a lot of water! Glad to hear that everyone is safe. I've had a flooded basement before, and although it's a pain in the @$$ to clean up, things could be much worse. With the volume of water you guys are dealing with, I don't know if it will help at this point, but I suppose as CrossFitters, you guys could use this opportunity to do some "sandbag training" to block the rising water. Take care.

Guess you guys win the crappy weather competition. We don't get much in the way of flooding down here.

4 years in Gagetown and never seen it that bad. Not even close.

Love the old pictures in the Lunar Rogue Pub of the floods back in 1920 and 30s. Incredible.

Best of luck.
