Free Range/grassfed/wildgame Meats

Any people have any trusted internet sources they order from? I'm having trouble coming across quality non-walmart meats in my area.

Frank it is. I actually work in memphis but alas, the selection of good butchers are all slanted towards porkshoulders and BBQ cuts of regular beef/pork and I hav enot been able to find any free range or grass fed stuff locally. I haven't given up just yet but it's not looking good so I thought I would search abroad.

Thanks grant!! I'll check that link out!!

Also check out localharvest.org (w/fs). You can search for all types of outlets (CSAs, farms, grocers, restaurants, etc.) by zip. Do the search and call the numbers in the results. I would be shocked if you couldn't find anything within a reasonable distance.

Awesome found a farmers market downtown that I had heard of a while back but never could find any info on and forgot about. Looks like it is only open on saturday mornings for about 6 hours but seems like there could be some real fresh, quality cuts. Thanks Jeff.

Justin, MS is Mississippi right? Easiest way to get fresh game in MS involves deer season and a rifle.

HAHA I know, I am from orlando and have never shot at any living creature in my life but have actually considered taking it up after finding out all the crap that is in store bought packaged foods and especially in the last couple months with doing crossfit and paleo/zone. I guess when you take all that time trying to get the most out of your body it becomes frustrating when you know the readily available things you are putting into it(even if it is "fresh from the grocer") is so tampered with and full of junk.

Justin, to answer your original question, I've used Slankers Grass Fed Meat, http://www.texasgrassfedbeef.com/ -wfs- Good service and the prices were very reasonable I thought. ($10-12/lb for steaks, $4-7 for ground and other cuts.) Our local Henry's market starting carrying gfb from Australia recently so that's my source now.

OMFG THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU

This is like the amazon of grass fed meat!!! The only issue I can forsee is what if I'm not there and they require a signature for delivery? Then the meat goes back to the UPS warehouse and sits there?
