What "Counts"

On today's WOD, on the 5th set of the PJ, I could only do 2 reps. In the future what should I do? Drop to previous sets weight and try and complete the Rx'd amount of 5 reps?

Re: What "Counts"

What you wrote is certainly a great way to do it.

On the 5th set, personally I'd have just written "fail on 3rd rep" in the log and called it a day. 4th or earlier set, written the same, then dropped the weight and gone forward with the rest of the workout.

On a related note, you should be pushing your boundaries on a workout like today's. If you miss zero reps, you probably didn't go heavy enough.

Re: What "Counts"

Plus it is a max effort. you can take 3 attempts at a weight. ort miss , like you did, got 2 out of 3 reps on first try, second try go lower and completed the set and try to move up on the next set.
