Another DU sub question - single leg jumps?

I haven't seen this mentioned but was wondering what people thought of subbing DU's with an equal number of single legged jumps with each leg. So 50 DU's becomes 50 jumps with the right leg and then 50 with the left. This seems to more closely match the effort of the DU's. I like it better than tuck jumps for that reason, you're still using the jump rope and it does illicit a response by the time you're done! (legs burning)

Any comments are appreciated.

If you have a jump rope, do double unders.

Nah, jumping rope one leg at a time is still pretty easy compared to the intensity of tuck jumps ( which would be a very poor DU as it's more work than necessary ).

I was never able to do a single double under. I watched the Buddy Lee videos yesterday, and this morning I got 14 consecutive DU's after about 10 minutes of working though the progressions.
