Eating then WOD

How long do you all usually wait after eating before hitting your WOD?

Right now if I have something light I wait one hour and if it is something heavier I wait two to three hours.

Re: Eating then WOD

Usually two to three for me doing any kind of physical activity after eating. I get pukie pretty easily, then again I haven't puked since I started CF. That's probably because I identified this problem a while ago and have taken steps to prevent it.

Sorry I wasn't thinking specifics. Just in general.

My thinking was that if it is a metcon, a run, or something that is faster then wait longer. If it was a strength WOD where I would go slow/heavy I could get away with waiting less time.

Re: Eating then WOD

I work out in the morning and usually eat breakfast afterwards. So I wait about 10 hours.

How is your energy level without eating before you do a workout?

Re: Eating then WOD

I always wait 2 hours between eating and doing any sort of workout, if ive gone more than two hours, ill eat a PB&J wait 25minutes and hit it... just try and not have the full feeling. I'll usually have heartburn or burps if i dont wait at least an hour 1/2.

Re: Eating then WOD

I'm lazy and once in a while will start 45 min after I eat, especially when I've got work. Never puked or anything, but depending on what I eat sometimes I don't feel great. I usually prefer 1-2 hrs.
