Can someone tell me if a Crossfit affiliate is granted a certain amount of "territory" after being established?

Thanks in advance for your help,

Nope - but why would you want to? I think it's clear that most/all affiliates within the community go out of their way to share and improve other affiliates. Think about how awesome it would be to have other coaches who might specialize in something you don't (and therefore coach you!), think about the friendly competitions, possible partnerships, special events between clubs, etc, etc.

And besides, clients will recognize whether you have a true passion for improving their wellbeing or not ... if you do, they'll stick with you through thick and thin. If you don't care and just want their money ... well, then you should be concerned about competition.

(That's not a dig at you, just speaking in general!)

No territories, but that is good.

Anthony - Couldn't agree with you more. Just wanted to know if I would be prevented from starting a Crossfit affiliate in my area if someone beat me to it.

Thanks for the info.

The more CF focused facilities we can get the better. Overall it would likely be good for all facilities as it would help to generate word of mouth about CF in general and if all facilities are taking care of their clients properly all would benefit. There are plenty of clients out there.

I'm hoping to open a box soon in my area. I'll be at the cert in March. I have been encouraging several other trainers to open up affiliates near me. This would allow us to create team challenges, promote Crossfit and train in different environments, etc.

300 million people in the US....I think there is a big enough market for everyone.
