Long Cycle (Clean and Jerk) and Traditional (Jerk and Snatch).

What is Girevoy Sport?
Kettlebell lifting, or Girevoy Sport as its called in its native
Russia is growing in the US. I have included some links of other
competitions here and outside of the US. The sport itself is similar
to Olympic weightlifting, with the lifts (clean and jerk, jerk and
snatch) being shared, but unlike monay weightlifting competitions, the
weights are fixed and the goal is to lift the given weight (a kettlebell) as many
times as possible. Please feel free to

I'll be in St Louis competing in the women's division using the 52# bell. I believe Steve Cotter and Dave Whitley will be holding a seminar there the following day.

It would be outstanding to see fellow Crossfitters participating.
