Used C2 rower for $350...need opinion

I found a C2 rower for sale for $350. The only info stated was that it's had "very little use."

I'd have to drive an hour to go see it, which I don't mind, but, besides trying it out, how do I know if it's actually in good shape? What should I look for? Is this a good price for a used one?

Thanks for your help.

do what what model it is? it depends on what they consider little use is. Was is it in a gym getting 20k meters a day or in a residence getting 5k a week? Model C decent shape? grab it....

I just called the guy and left a message. Waiting for call back. Those are good questions to ask. Thanks!

Any other ideas on what to ask and what to look for?

In a gym, getting 20K a day??

What gym is that? The C2s I've seen in gyms were most likely suffering from UNDER use.

By the way, do these things have odometers on them so that I can see how much mileage is on it??

Re: Used C2 rower for $350...need opinion

My experience is that they're pretty bulletproof. If it's a model C or D I would jump on it for $350. You can probably replace anything that looks worn or isn't working relatively cheaply. A parts maintenance kit from C2 is $50 and you can even replace the monitor for $110-160.

Nancy, yes they have a monitor that does quite a bit more than just act as an odometer. It will likely have either a PM2 or PM3 monitor. You can learn about the functions on the concept 2 website. Really the only question you need to ask the guy is if it's a model B, C, or D. If it's a C or D buy it. I personally wouldn't buy a B.

It's making me crazy, just waiting for this guy to call me back!

I used to love using the rowers in the gym (when I used to belong to a gym), so I know I'd get plenty of use out of it. And Bryan's got to be right, there was rarely anybody else on them.

Dude...hurry up and call me back!!!!

of I didn't mean globo gym Bryan you're right though...I meant a CF gym. The "computer" on it if it's a C is probably a PM2 and more than adequate. Model D's have a PM3. It'll keep track of wattage, meters, times etc...and they are calibrated so that row times from one PM3 and another PM3 are exactly the same

If it's a C, get it!! I just picked up a model c for $400.00 in excellent condition. My first rower is also a model c and i bought that one for $150.00. I guess you only get lucky once.
