Compression Socks

Hi! I've been looking at compression socks lately and noticed two pairs that I need someone's advice on and if they are good or not.

1)This is the compression sock I found on the Rogue site and I need to know if it is over priced at $35 or not. And if its a better then sock number 2.http://www.roguefitness.com/rogue-compression-socks.php

2) This sock is only $16 and I was surprised because of the price change between sock one and sock two.

If any other options or opinions I would be very greatful. Thanks!

Re: Compression Socks

I have the Rogue compression socks. I don't really use them for WO, but rather at work... I am a chef and on my feet 8-12 hr shifts and compression socks really do the trick.... So I'm sure anyone training distance would benefit .... Don't really think they would make any difference on a 15 min WOD

That said, I've owned several different brands and the rogue branded socks ( to lazy to go get them , but you can get the same sock from the same manufacture under different brands but no price difference) they are very well made and really last a long time with out stretching out.... I much prefer them to zensah

They are much tighter and supportive compared to the regular $16 WOD socks.

Re: Compression Socks

I really like the ones from Spun Performance (http://www.spunperformance.com/Produ...Code=UCSB-0001) WFS. Have a couple pairs from them and they are still going strong after using them pretty much everyday for a number of months.

One thing I did notice was running in them in the heat is a bad idea. Feet and calves were on fire after a while. I run in them now in CA though and haven't had any issues.

Re: Compression Socks

Another vote for SPUN.

Greg Light is active on this forum if you have any questions, he usually has a discount code to give out too

I have two pairs of the socks, two pairs of shorts, one short sleeve shirt and one pair of full length tights.

The socks are amazing for WODs with a lot of calf work, anything with box jumps, DU, burpees, sprinting etc. I also wear them for rugby games/practices. They are very durable with only a small hole made by a cleat.

The shorts are my go to for rugby and WODs, great compression and they keep me cool. The full length tights are great to sleep in as they help with recovery.

I've had all my stuff from them for over a year, barely any signs of wear. I did find that i was 'saving them' by air drying, accidentally used the electric dryer and noticed it tightened up the compression... so I use the electric now haha

Re: Compression Socks

I wear SPUN exclusively. Best ones out there in my opinion. They also have an mmHg (millimeters of mercury) compression rating that others don't have.

True compression socks.

Hi Tyler,

This is Greg from Spun. The Rogue compression socks you linked are quite nice. They are dualbranded (Rogue and Swiftwick) and in my opinion are a great bargain. #2 is not a true compression sock. It might look nice and be comfortable, but there is no actual benefit to wearing it other than comfort and aesthetics.

We do have a coupon code going right now - Joust - will get you 10% off.

Thanks for all the kind words everyone that has socks from us and like them! We're so happy to hear it.
