Re: I fell asleep at the gym yesterday

Well, I suppose if he talks with you again, you know he's interested in spite of you being a waffle-face the last time you met.

Never managed to sleep at the box in Manchester, either I'm a little bit amped up to see what the WOD is (before the session) or I'm suffering and concentrating on breathing (after). I showed up an hour early a couple of times, and STILL never managed to nod off.

I'm currently trying 2 meals spaced far apart with at least one of the workouts in between. That's going better for me -- not optimal, but we're working on it over here.

Did I mention that after my nap, I talked with a cute guy I see occasionally at my gym for a couple minutes? Yeah, awesome -- until I got to the locker room, checked the mirror, and realized that I had crosshatched lines on my face from the floor mats that I had planted myself on while sleeping.
Yeah. Good job Christine. Smooooooth.

I guess you could say I got PWNed -- Post Workout Napped.
Intermittent fasting is supposed to be intermittent... maybe once or twice a week. Not everyday. If you do it everyday your energy levels will crap out on you.

Ahh, certainly. I should have mentioned that. I'll do it roughly 3-4 days a week... I basically end up alternating between one day of IF and one day of regular eating. Some weeks it's more, some weeks it's less. (I'm noshing on a post-run grapefruit as I type this now. )

Good point though! Sorry I wasn't clear originally.

Re: I fell asleep at the gym yesterday

It's the mats!!

I did fran a few weeks ago, I went to get a drink in my rec centers aerobic room. I saw those foam ab mats, and went and sat on one to stretch. My boss woke me up about 20 minutes later.

I think I'm going to buy a couple and make a bed out of them. They are soo soft.

Re: I fell asleep at the gym yesterday

I've dozed off a couple times between rest periods on squats or deadlifts since my rest position is on my back. Actually, occasionally I rest on a block or the foam pit when I'm at the gym and just need a power nap.

I know Andreas and I have both taken naps after workouts at the gym.

Re: I fell asleep at the gym yesterday

I did a bunch of ring pullups once and I ended up dozing off while sitting down.

One thing lead to another I guess, because I woke up 15 minutes later when my watch alarm started beeping. I was out cold. I'm a civilian but work (and work out) on an AFB, and I can't imagine what all the AF dudes were thinking of the sweaty, comatose, possibly snoring pile of flesh over in the stretching corner.

Anyone have some extra dignity? I think I lost all of mine yesterday.
girly, is THIS why u are finally makin your way to the garage hahaha that is quite possibly the best thing ive read all day! dont worry, ur a civ on an AF base.. if it were a marine base, u would have woken up with no dignity and a couple new boyfriends. ha

Haha, well, I'll see you today!
Don't worry, the dignity's long gone.

Can I sleep on your driveway when I'm done?
