if you were originally going to use pipe to make a dip station, why don't you still do that: you can unscrew the pieces for storage, no?

leave the sides together and just unscrew the connectors for storage.

I bought a walker at a thrift store yesterday for $9.50, and it works perfectly. Thanks for the idea, Paul! I didn't have the opportunity to try the treestand base for pullups, but I bet it would work, and I could tie my rings off on it for doing ring dips, too.

Thanks for the great idea, now I have a place to do dips at my parents house, as they have two walkers from some surgeries-the older one just shakes everywhere when I do dips on it. I might even get a walker for my place also, as it's much better than the dips off the bend in the kitchen counter.
