Cindy today - sore hammy squat replacement

Hamstrings are hurting today & I have a basketball game tomorrow night. Don't want to injure myself. Good suggestions to replace the squats in Cindy?

Rest day?

Extra rest the day before a game when you're already sore seems like a good idea to me.

I definitely wouldn't recommend high rep kettlebell swings if you have sore hamstrings. Typically with air squats, I know I feel them in the quads more than the hamstrings. KB swings are all hamstrings for me.

How about just a different WOD like Death By Pull-ups, or Death By Pull-ups and Push-ups?

(you know, increase your number of reps on the minute by one. So one PU minute one, two PU minute two, etc...)

Just do a different workout.

Or don't do a workout at all if you actually want to play well (may get some supercompensation).

Thanks all for the suggestions. I still want to get a workout in, as I rested yesterday.

I will probably avoid my legs and just replace the squats with something like declined situps to keep my intensity up.

Steven - I never heard of the concept of supercompensation. Interesting stuff!

When I injured my knee and the box was doing Cindy I did abmat situps instead of squats, and whoooweee doooggeeeee ~ that was a crusher!
