2) Power Clean, 5x1, 1 @ 132#, 1 @ 154#, 1 @ 176#, 1 @ 198#, 1 @ 209#x(failed 3x)
(form was off. Mind wasn't right)

3) WOD:
20 - Ball Slam @ 12# Ball
20 - Dip
20 - 20" Box Jump
20 - GHD Back Extension
20 - GHD Sit-Up
20 - Ring Push-Up
20 - Knees to Elbows
20 - DB Push Press @ 40# DBs

Re: The Mutation from Man to Machine...

Why the hate of receiving in a Squat?

13:30...that's how long 20 DUs would take me! Good showing today!

Thanks Chuck.

I should have clarified. Not jumping under the bar because my body doesn't do that, not because I refuse to. I would really like to, but just haven't trained the body to comply with my wishes... Yet.

I'm working on it too...It's a ****ing *****. The best thing I've found so far is light repetition, light repetition, light repetition, and then jump in weight before your body or mind tell you otherwise.

Ditto........once you teach your body how it feels repeatedly, it will respond. For some reason, I'm good at jumping under things. Must have been my 007 training at the stewardess academy

Looks like a nice effort here

Never say never, Chuck is right, it takes some cutting back in weight and LOTS of drills. There isn't a single workout that I don't start with an empty bar snatch complex of Burgener warm-up mixed with other movements.

Re: The Mutation from Man to Machine...

Saturday, 1.17.9

1) 2 hrs. Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu
(Tapped a guy out via Rear Naked Choke and pulled off a sweet Armbar on an advanced student... It was awesome )

3 hrs. later...

2) Hang Squat Snatch, 5x1 @ 88#

3) Snatch Balance, 5x1 @ 88#

4) Front Squat, 3x1, 1 @ 135#, 1 @ 185#, 1 @ 205#

5) Front Squat, 2x2 @ 205#

6) Death by HSPU's, 9 rds. + 6
(horrible showing... Way off from my PR. Although, these were really deep, but I guess I just wasn't up to par today)

7) Pull-Up + Dip Circuit, 5/1 - 4/2 - 3/3 - 2/4 - 1/5

8) GHD Wall Ball @ 12# Ball, 3x10

9) Tabata Resistance Sprints
(strapped on a shoulder harness with a tether and had my buddy hold on to it. These sucked)

WELL LOOKATCHOOOO!!!! Another successful rear naked choke take over!!

The death by HSPU's sounds terrible. Even though you were off from your PR, that was good still.......there were contributing factors, like fatigue??

Those sprints sound kinda fun. Christin and I should do those babies!! Although I don't know where in the hell we'd find a shoulder harness with a tether???? Plus, I can see Christin trying to hold onto it--that would be funny.
