Ignore my remark about the weight difference between Maurucio and Chuck. At 205lbs, I guess in Pride they give their middleweights the same weight range as the UFC's light heavyweights.
Anyway, everybody is beatable even Mauricio lost by way of a knee bar submission from kevin Randleman back in October of 06.

Rua or Silva vs. Chuck (or Rampage if he wins) would be great fights, but let's see if they actually materialize. Maybe b/c of the merger they will come to fruition.

I'm having a hard time getting to a confident pick on this fight, Chuck has momentum and confidence, but Rampage is an absolute animal, and if he's trained up properly (shouldn't be a problem for a pro like Rampage) he could come in and devastate Chuck. On the other hand, Chuck only needs one punch, just one, and it could be an awkward, falling backwards type of punch, he's such a great striker. I wanna see Chuck win, but wouldn't mind seeing Rampage use his "whoop that a**" style en route to a victory either.

Randy apparently picked Rampage to win.

I also believe that Randy has picked a few of the recent upsets, so it might be something to ponder!

Yeah, Randy picked Gonzaga against Crocop.......and so did I, granted not by a brutal high kick knockout:yikes:

2007 has been a year of MAJOR upsets, so more than ever anything can happen. However, I think Chuck will keep his belt after this one. He is on the top of his game and has all the motivation in the world to train hard for this bout. He will come as prepared as ever and Rampage will have to fight the perfect fight if he wants to dethrone Chuck.

Well if its true what John is saying... that Chuck is in the best shape of his life and is at his highest skill level then I have no doubt that Chuck will win.

Awwwww, my bad Matthew. You are correct, it was the other way around, my appologies.

Personally, I'm picking Quinton but I'll keep a towel handy to wipe the egg from my face...just in case.

Can't wait for the main event, but I'm also looking forward to Karo vs. Burkman.

I can easily see Rampage winning, but I'm still picking Chuck to knock him out. IMO, these are two guys that are great for the sport.
