HSPU if you need assistance use the pole to help balance you.

A pole can def help with HSPU and also straddle into handstand. Don't forget you need to be wearing the right shoes - no, not VFF. Pole also great for inverted situps and pull up variations. Oh, and don't forget flags as well. The bruising and friction burns get pretty interesting.
