Should I Be Doing This During Rest Periods?

I'm following a Hybrid like Gant's. I also play soccer and do a lot of technical work i.e. juggling, shooting, etc. My question is would I benefit from every so often juggling during my rest periods (which are usually 5 minutes when doing heavy)?

No.

Resting during your rest periods is a much better idea. If you're going heavy enough, you're going to need it.

Agreed, save your technical work for another time. When lifting heavy you need to take the rest just as seriously as the lifting.

I will be the one to disagree. I think there is some training value in practicing technical skills while systemically taxed. Every so often might have some benefit, not every set of every WOD. It might actually be better placed during or immediately after a MetCon to get the benefit I'm thinking about.

I agree doing some technical skills work while tired can be useful, but why not do it at the end of the workout? If you want to make progress in strength training the rest in between sets needs to be respected. You don't have to, but it will almost certainly lead to failing reps in later sets which sets progress back. Doing stuff after WODs, or at the very end of a strength session, or even in between different lifts, but in between work sets I think is a bad idea.

Agreed.
I just don't think it's an absolutely bad idea to play with occasionally

Jakub, of course you should. Try it and see. There is nothing like tying knots, shooting or other skills being performed when you are out of breath. Good luck!
