Question MEBB and Deadlifts

I would like to start the MEBB program as I need to focus a bit more on strength.

Are Deadlifts considered a Total Body exercise or a Lower Body for the purpose of MEBB?

Are Deadlifts an acceptable movement for the program?

Total body

Yes.

Although depending on volume they might beat you to a pulp combined with CF.

Re: MEBB and Deadlifts

I would be careful about deadlifting too frequently. They are a serious shock to the system, and typically only one good work set a week is needed to make strength gains.

Have you read Starting Strength?

Question Re: MEBB and Deadlifts

I have not read SS yet. I need to get a copy.

I'm trying to work up a MEBB program that fits my goals. I want to keep 1-2 metcon's per week as I really enjoy them. I just want to add some strength. I can get 175 (BW) on standing press right now but only 315 on deadlift (and my eyeballs about pop out when doing 315). I don't have any idea how much I can back squat as I haven't maxed out on it in years.
