Day 85 of burpee challenge

10,8,6,4,2
Handstand walks
Ring pushups
1 20' rope clImb
Muscle ups(5,4,3,2,1)
Time: 15:18

This one was all about the rope climb and muscle ups. I flew throughthe handstand walks and ring pushups but grip died out in the rope climb. The shoes I was wearing were not locking the rope properly, they were making the rope slide so I had to rely on my grip to stay up there. Then that killed my grip for the muscle ups. I was beating the guy I always compete with up until the last rope climb. A bit disappointed in that.

Day 86 of burpee challenge
6am wod
Warm up
200 single unders
50 calf raises
40 air squats
30 back extensions
20 wallball shots

For time
8,7,6,5,4,3,2,1
Squat clean 185lb
400 meter run
Time: 25:04

This took me longer than expected. The cleans were all in singles with 3-5 deep breaths in between. The runs got real breathy after the 3 round. I gotta get back my old running shape. This was a good combination of heavy lifting and running.

Nice work, I bet it was tough, heavy squat cleans get tough fast. Great job on it.

Thanks bud, they were breathy!

Sorry I have been absent from the logs. Been very busy between work, shadow coaching at my friends gym, and final preparations for my wedding in two weeks!

Day 92 of burpee challenge


Three rounds for time of:
95 pound Overhead squat, 15 reps
15 L Pull-ups
95 pound Split-jerk, 15 reps
15 Knees to elbows
95 pound Hang clean, 15 reps
15 Back extensions, with 25 pounds
Time: 24:32

Was looking forward to doing this one but was let down by the result. My energy level hit the dirt half way through round two. The cleans of round two finished me off. The only thing I'm happy about was getting all the ojs and push jerks unbroken. Left me in a puddle of sweat at the end.

Day 94 of burpee challenge

Amrap in 10 minutes of
30 double unders
10(per side) grasshoppers
10 deadlifts 275lbs
Total: 5 rounds,30 double unders,10(per side) grasshoppers

This one was a nice heavy lung burner!! I tried my best to get the seaports unbroken but my left hand started to rip in the bird round so I put the bar down at 6. I did the same for the following two rounds. The doubles and grasshoppers made it difficult to catch your breath.

3 days before wedding day!!

Hey mate thanks, I know I have been lost from the logs. I have kept training but been really busy with work, coaching, and wedding stuff so it's hard to keep up with the logs. I'll be back to normal after this weekend.
