Re: Ernie's workout log

The main reason I'm gonna try it again with the 115lb is to see how many rounds of the thrusters I can do unbroken. That way I know I'll be able to do more with the 100lbs. The limiting factor for me in this wod is gonna be the pullups because of my sissy grip. So I have to get ad good as I can with the thrusters.

Like me I think Ernie does he's practice rounds without judging so even if he scores better it still would not count.

OK Ernie, if you think that's best, I will be doing it again with the said weight. Going to stop after 18 thrusters and see how quick I can get to that point.

Re: Ernie's workout log

4-27-11
Wod 11.6
Amrap 7 minutes of
3 thrusters 115lb/c2b pullups
6 thrusters / c2b
9 thrusters /c2b
12 thrusters/c2b
15 thrusters/c2b
4 thrusters
Total: 94 reps pr by 3

Felt good on the improvement today. I got all yhe way through the round of 12 unbroken in the thrusters. 9, 6 on the round of 15. I think. Can get the round of 15 unbroken with the 100lbs. I could have gotten a better score today if I had managed the pullups a bit better. My goal is to get close to 110 or better n the real workout.

Thanks mate, I hope you're right! I just gotta figure out a way to cycle the pullups a little faster. The 100lb thruster is going to feel much easier than 115lb. What are you doing today?

Yes I reckon the less weight on the thruster will also help your pull ups, just keep them going and hit a few quick singles here or there, they can save time.

Im doing nothing of note today, probably have a little run, some sit ups, push ups. At least its the last week of sectionals, I am getting so fed up with having to active rest every Thursday, just hate not going all out training every day.

Me too, this week is a wash for me. I didn't do much yesterday for my wrist, today HAS to be active rest, then I have to wait all day tomorrow till 6pm to get the workout in. Any other time I'd just tape the crap out of my wrist and move on. But I'd like to finish better then I started, so It will be worth it I guess.

Great work Ernie on the 115lbs attempt. When are you doing it, Sat right? Man I wish we cound help each other out. My thrusters are weak compered to my pullups. I am counting on the pullups to pull me through the thrusters so I can get over 100points.

4-28-11
Run 1 mile for time
Time: 5:54

Friday is going to be my rest day so I didn't wan to do anything that would leave me too sore for Saturday. Man was this a calf, hamstring and lun burner!!! I ran the first half in 2:50 and second half in 3:04. I think I'm going to do this like once a week to remind me how to stay in the "take pain zone" for a couple of minutes.
