Snatch
1-1-1-1-1-1-1
135,145,155,165,175(tie pr),180f,180f

Then wallball practice
5 x 15 with 1 minute rest between sets

I was a bit surprised to have tied my pr on the snatch. My technique was way off and wasn't getting under the bar fast at all. I got 175 with a press out at the end. I need to get back on track with the burgener warm up.

I did the sets of wallballs to focus on not missing the target and controlling my breath. I only missed the target twice in all. I hope they go that well on Saturday lol.

Strong snatching Ernie, thats around 80k in my calculations!!

Games wod 11.5
Amrap in 20 minutes
5 power cleans 145lb
10 toes to bar
15 wallballs 20lbs
Total: 9 rounds, 5 power cleans, 3 toes to bar=278

Everything wad going to plan to hit at least 10 rounds and then the grip went to hell after round 5! It got so bad that I couldn't even do the power cleans unbroken anymore after round 5. This probably took me out of contention from the top 60. I'll be working on my grip for a full year!!!

I was worried about your grip on this one Ernie, it is never the less one of very very few weaknesses you have right now and something you will most definately get sorted. Thats still a great score considering you had to struggle with your grip for so long, you would of probably hit way over 10 rounds if it had not let out.

My moneys on you getting a great score on the last WOD, its nasty but you have a very fast Fran so should suit you. Faster than mine for sure.

Scott is right, You can make it up next week, you really have a strong fran, you have the thruster power, You can do it for sure.

Thanks fellas, I was a bit depressed about my 11.5 performance so I drank milkshakes the rest of the weekend!!! I'm now in 108th place which pretty much takes me out of the running unless I earn 1st place in the last wod. The chances of that happening are pretty slim so my goal now is to finish in less than 100th place. Gonna have to come up with a new plan to attack the weaknesses for next year.

I think there's going to be a lot of people in the regionals that you would smash given the heavier weights that will be there, the first two workouts especially in the sectionals gave the weaker guys with big engines a massive boost in the rankings. Anyways its time to practice and smash that WOD:6 Ernie, I done it twice now and its just as nasty as Fran but longer.

Yeah I agree with you mate. But hey those were the cards we were dealt. I'm gonna practice wod 6 tonight but with 115lbs as punishment for sucking at wod 5 lol

Good man, you may as well just do it rather than practice it, I done it twice already and improved by 9 reps second time around just taking it a bit more relaxed, dont go crazy on those rounds of 3 and 6.
