Here is the wod for the competition tomorrow. It's a 12 minute workout split up in two 6 minute amraps. Your score is the total amount of reps between both amraps.


Amrap in 6 minutes
15 deadlifts (185lb/115lb)
25 double unders (100 singles for Jessie cuz she hasn't mastered the doubles)
Then immediately after that amrap ends
Amrap 6 minutes
Buy in 300 meter sandbag run (50lb/35lb)
15 sandbag clean and jerks
25 sandbag lunges

Ok fellas so this is the report for yesterdays team comp. The wod had to be changed because it was pouring out. The wod got changed to
AMRAP in 6 minutes
15 deadlifts 185/115 hand release at the bottom no touch and go
25 burpees (too crowded for double unders)

Then immediately after
AMRAP in 6 minutes
15 sandbag clean jerks (50/35)
25 sandbag squats (50/35)

Both partners working at the same time but one partner could not move on to the next exercise until the other was done with their reps.

Unfortunately my girlfriend and I didn't place on the wod and I blame it all on the judges. I ended up doing like 20 reps on the first round of deadlifts because he said I wasn't showing all 5 fingers off the bar when I put it down. So I yelled at him "yes I am, stand infront of me and you'll see!" he was standing beside me to make sure I had full hip extension.
Then they messed us up on the second amrap. My girlfriend asked before the beginning of the wods which one was her sandbag and they told her the one with the yellow tape. So I grabbed the other one and started cranking out my squats. Well I was by rep 16 when they told us we had to switch bags cuz I had her bag and she had mine. So we had to switch bags and start all over. So we basically wasted a round. Whatever I knew at that point are chances of winning were done. But I am extremely proud of my girlfriend. She gave it all she had and never stopped throughout both wods. She ended up with the Fran cough at the end. Over all it was a great experience and I'm glad she was my teammate.

I'll try and do yesterday wod tonight.

AMRAP in 20 minutes
5 c2b pullups
10 ring dips
15 ohs 95lbs
Total: 7 rounds, 5 pullups, 10 ring dips

Not a great score but my shoulders and triceps were tired from the comp yesterday. I just couldn't hold the weight as long as I wanted on the ohs. I only got the first round unbroken. The rest of the rounds were very broken in the dips and ohs. Probabaly should have taken the day off but oh well.

Great work to both of you , real hard when things like the sandbag mix up happen or the silliness in judging with the fingers, they should of given you the reps with the sandbag as it was there mistake.

Anyways, glad you had a great weekend and just stick it down to experience and crush them next time around.

Agree with Scott 100%. It wasn't because of you guys you didn't place. Bad judging will happen. You did right to continue on!! Great work!

Thanks guys, I'm not letting It bother me. The main purpose for me to join that comp was to give my girlfriend some competition exposure. So she can see that she can always push a little harder than she thinks. Well it worked out perfectly because she is more sore than she's ever been before lol. My sister and friend went to watch us and are now inspired to try crossfitting after watching my girl work her butt off!!! So the mission was accomplished.

I'm all beat up from yesterdays amrap especially the shoulders. So nutts will be extra hard today.

Nice!! That is great, alot of positives there. Tell her I am proud of her and let her know that not letting the judges get in your/her head is a tough thing to do, so you/she did great.

I hope you do great on nutts, I am behind on it and if I do it it will probably be tomorrow at best.

Warmup
1 mike jog with Jessie
"Nutts"

For time:
10 Handstand push-ups
250 pound Deadlift, 15 reps
25 Box jumps, 30 inch box
50 Pull-ups
100 Wallball shots, 20 pounds, 10'
200 Double-unders
Run 400 meters with a 45lb plate
Time: 20:04 pr by 2:07

Very proud of my pr today especially with tired shoulders. The hspu were easy and fast. Deadlifts were unbroken at decent speed. The box jumps were not as fast as I would have liked but it's hard for me to do the pogo technique at that height. I would jump off the box, land, pause, then go back up. The pullups were tough after yesterdays c2b. My oats are sore from them. I got 15 in a row and then broke them in 5s and 4s. Then came the shoulder killers. The wallballs did a number on my sore shoulders. I got 30 in a row and then broke them down into 15-20. They tired my shoulders so bad that I couldn't do more than 20 double unders in a row. I would shake my shoulders off for 5-10 secs and keep going n 15-20 reps. The 400 meter run(speed walk lol) was a lot better than last time. I carried the plate with both hands behind my neck. I walked as fast as I possible could because could really run without the plate crushing the back of my head lol.
