Critique My Diet Please!!!

Trying to lose 20 pounds. Im about 12-14% bodyfat 170#.

5:30 am 6 eggs whites + 2 cups cooked broccoli
9:00 am whey protein shake
12:00 pm whey protein shake + 2 cups vegatables
2:30 pm 1-2 cups vegtables
5:30 pm 6 egg whites + 2 cups broccoli
8:30 pm 6 egg whites + 2 cups broccoli
9:30 pm whey protein shake
* take 3 omega 3 pills/ green tez extract a day.drink about 2 pots of coffee a day and take zma at night and a multivitamin when i wake up

Not a lot of variety there is there! :-) Going to get bored real quick. I'm not a zone/paleo person, I'd be feeling terribly ill on that. How are you feeling?

My take on diets is very middle of road. Eat normal but less of it, unprocessed as much as possible, lots of fruit and veges, I'm not anti grain, I eat about 55% carbs. Good fats - about 30% and the rest protein from a variety of sources including read meat, fish, chicken and eggs.

Whatever you do has to be sustainable. Going ON and OFF a diet is not sustainable. Eating something you couldn't put up with for the rest of your life isn't sustainable.

12-14 BF is considered pretty good, so you want to drop 20 more pounds, WHY???????????????

Your food consumption is poor, do some research on past threads of what others are eating, along with good recipes.

Plug food intake into Fitday, you'll see you're eating NO FAT, way to much protein, you need to rethink your ideas of sound eating.

Read some books, use the Search function, try Google.

Actually, it sounds about right from my experience:

I was 180# with a 33 - 33.5 inch waist. I went paleo and dropped to 160# with a 30 inch waist. I dropped from approximately 14% BF to about 7% BF with very little loss of lean tissue. My strength is virtually the same.

But yes, I would say that he is not even eating paleo from his example.

wow, one look at that diet and I doubt you could do it for a month. Seriously, get the zone or paleo diet book and read it. Or if you don't want to follow one of those, try to get a balanced amount of protein/fats/carbs. Only have eggs once, 18 eggs a day is excessive. Also, you NEED fat. I don't know if someone told you that fat is bad for you or something, but it is actually really good. It slows consumption, making you fuller longer, has a low GI impact and it does not cause you to gain weight. Eat some sources of fat such as nuts and olive oil. Like Jay said, google it because your entire diet needs an overhaul.

that is gross

why are you not eating any fat? are you actually throwing away all of those delicous yolks? what a waste!

yes plug into fitday I would be interested to see your numbers.

That diet lacks variety, nutritional balance, and adequate fat. it's terrible! Eat some freakin' yolks, too.
