Crossfit ladies, have you ever looked down at your chest during a workout and been shocked to see Kilimanjaro where your chest used to be? I have. I've struggled for years to find sport bras that are functional and attractive. I hate uni-boob! I'm not huge and I'm not small. Finally I've found a sports bra that's a lot better then most that I've had in the past.
What's shocking is the size I need to buy in order to have them be comfortable. I don't feel like I'm a Large or 36 C but I am. I do have Crossfit lats so I'm OK with the 36......but C! Geesh when did Bras get so tight! So this week I bought some new sports bras, the champion scoop neck. So far so good. It's a sports bra I could wear all day. I would also feel comfortable taking off my shirt and wearing it alone. At 30 bucks a pop this is not something you want to experiment with to much. I would love to find more tank tops like rock climbing tanks for Med to large women. I got one last year that I love it's just so tight that it can start to bother me. http://www.stoneweardesigns.com/stor...iewCat&catId=3 Again I stress that I bought the size I should take and I should have bought the size up. Guys sorry for this girly conversation....but ya gotta take care of the girls!! Some feed back ladies. What have your experiences been? |

Nick, you make a good point. CF ladies should not have a problem posting pic's as I'm sure most would jump at the opportunity to be in a WOD vid.
Just my usual intelligent 2 cents worth. Jay |

Jen-
I bet the reason that you are a 'c' is that the cup size has to do with the difference between band circumference and boob circumference. Your band went up, but I am going to guess your boob didn't. For other good bras check out http://www.titlenine.com and http://www.activasports.com/ There also used to be a woman's clothing company called Athletica, but I don't think they exist anymore. The website I went to was not the one I am used to My favorite tops are the patagonia ones (make me look like I have cleavage - there are no pictures). But, I have a small chest and so I don't need much. Try titlenine, they have some great options!! Karin |

www.roadrunnersports.com (WFS) is another supplier of great bras for those of us with *plenty* The "Maia" from Moving Comfort works particularly well....
Jennifer, they have tanks, too. Laurie |

That's what happened to me when I lost some weight-- when the band size goes down the cup size goes up. I actually had to get refitted to figure it out.
I used to really like Enell sports bras. (www.enell.com, w/f safe, sort of) They are ugly, expensive and definitely give you the uniboob look but at least nothing's goin' nowhere. Fleet Feet (w/f safe) is a store for runners/walkers/joggers that usu. has good stuff including Enell http://www.fleetfeet.com/ There was a great article in the Tucson Weekly (w/f safe) about wrong-sized bras etc. that I found interesting--they estimate 80% of women are wearing the wrong size! http://www.tucsonweekly.com/gbase/Cu...tent?oid=71117 Thanks Karin and Jen for the links! |

Karin,
My wife just got a new Athletica catalog in the mail. I'll check to see what website they have listed. My wife loves their stuff too. If anyone's wondering, how could a guy NOT check out this thread after reading the title? |

Thanks for all the links. I just put a tank on today that's a M and it's just to darn tight. It's a stone wear Designs. Tight under the arms through the straps.
