Since we do have many resident Punk Rockers/Emo lovers, and I pulled off some great bands of your guys posts, I thought I'd share one my iPod's SPECWOD playlists...

I don't know if this works for you, but it sure helps fuel my WODS! (Save Target/Link As...Then Open with Excel)

Also-One new band I recently discovered that TOTALLY ROCKS is Yellowcard! (SoCal Punk with a violin twist! Simply awesome!)

I use Barry Manilow and the Carpenters. Oh, and Captain and Tennille! 300 pound DLs go great with "Muskrat Love".

Tom-you have awoken something!

I just got flashbacks of tennage parties, with all the cool kids having drawn the DK logo on their All-Stars;-)

Off to Kazaa for some memories now!!
BTW-I don't think I will ever outgrow my teenage-era musical preferences!

For those of you longing for the days of yesteryear, I suggest 2 things. Both are on a station called "Indie 103.1" here in L.A. and they can be heard on the internet!!
First, everyday from 12-2 pm (PST) Steve Jones, guitarist from the Sex Pistols, has his own radio show (Jonesy's Jukebox). He plays everything from old school punk (The Damned, Sham 69, Ramones, Pistols, Stiff Little Fingers) to old Glam, to the new stuff. Great to listen to him talk as well.
The other is Mondays from 7-9 pm (pst) Henry Rollins (singer from Black Flag) has his own radio show where he plays his favorites from any genre of music. He also espouses his political and world views between songs. He's a hoot to listen to as well!!
Check them out at:
http://indie1031.fm/main.html
Click on the "Listen Live" link. This is the station that has single handedly saved L.A. radio from corporate drudgery!!!
Happy listening!!!!!
BTW, my 10 y-o (on the left in the avitar) wants to be Johnny Ramone for Halloween, dead and all!!
I'm so proud!!! Oh, and my 4 y-o (on the right) loves listening to Jonsey!!

A note for file sharers. I'm going to sound preachy, but I need to make a point known.

I've been very impressed with the integrity of the folks here on the board. In that light I want to comment on file sharing. Inherantly it is theft. No matter your views on the music industry, copying digital data (audio, text, whatever) without permission is stealing from the folks that produce it. In the long run it's not the music execs that get hurt, but the folks that run the studios, publication houses, struggling songwriters and the like. Please only use legal licensed sources for music. I'm somewhat involved with the industry so I've seen the damage. It's not a pretty situation.

Ok, off my soapbox. Thanks.
