Re: Ernie's workout log

4-14-11
Games wod 11.4
Amrap in 10 minutes
60 bar facing burpees
30 ohs 120lbs
10 muscle ups
Total: 60 burpees, 30 ohs, 6 muscle ups =96

Freaking ticked off!!! I officially hate ohs!!! They crushed my shoulders and took up a lot of time. Definitely my weakest lift!! I got to the muscle ups with about 1:40 left. I missed two reps because those metal rings were
Slippery withthe sweat. Very disappointed in this score. I think I may try it again on Sunday and record it but right now my shoulders are fried!!!

How fast did you go at the burpees, you know this WOD is a lot like Jackie and pacing yourself on the burpees like you would the rowing of Jackie is very important, especially with OHS which are horrendous when hard of breathing. Hit it again Sunday and I am sure you will get a much better score with pacing and a towel plus chalk ready for the rings.

Re: Ernie's workout log

I did the burpees in like 4:15, nice good pace. I hit a nasty wall after the first 10 ohs. Shoulders were just on fire. It wasn't my breathing or Monty telling me to stop. It was just muscle fatigue on the shoulders. I got to the muscle ups with about 1:40 left. So the ohs took me about 4 minutes!!! I'll see how my upper body feels by Sunday to see if I do it again or not. Triceps and shoulders are pretty banged up today.

Dude, that looked tough. You did well. Don't be to hard on yourself.

Notes to take as you want. It looked like you burned out on the burpees and it killed the rest of the workout. You were really fast then really slow.

The OHS, on the first go by the time you were on rep 7or 8, you had picked up the pace like you had recovered some, and you looked really strong, I don't know why you put the bar down by watching it. I know it looks easier then doing it. But you looked really strong on the OHSs.

The MUs you didn't miss or look like you were going to, it had to come down to fatigue. You looked really good on them when you did them and got a fast two at the end, you had the strenth it looked like.

Good work Ernie. I hope to do as well tomorrow in hopes this cold doesnt hold me back.
