Re: Where to buy Concept2 rower
Like everyone else has said monitor Craigslist....like a hawk. Check 2-3 times a day. Be sure to have the 'cash' stashed away ready to pull out of the shoe box. If you have to go the bank to get cash someone else already bought it.
Goodluck. |

Re: Where to buy Concept2 rower
Lycos Classifieds is a good place to look too(Link is W/F Safe). I've found that it helps to run several searches that hit on different key words(ex. concept 2, concept 2 rower, concept 2 rowing, concept II rower, rower, rowing, etc).
I've got a model D and it rocks. Good luck with your search. |

Re: Where to buy Concept2 rower
I just found a concept 2 D on craigslist and I'm picking it up tonight! $200. The guy selling it said it is a one piece unit. 8 years old. Have the models and technology changed that much since then?

Re: Where to buy Concept2 rower
Unless I'm missing something, only the model B is a one piece unit. All of the D's break into 2 parts - the slide with the seat and the fan with the handle section.
A model B in good condition for $200 sounds like a fair deal - nobodys getting ripped off, and nobody is making out really well either. |

Re: Where to buy Concept2 rower
Fellas,
You were right. Too good to be true. I think it was a model A. It was a concept rower from the pioneer age. It had more wood than metal on it. Needless to say, I didn't go through with the purchase. I'll be prowling craigs list for a while longer. Vic |

Re: Where to buy Concept2 rower
Buy the model D and save your money. If you want to get the better screen (which really does not tell you much more than just having a heart rate monitor accessory, easier to link ergs together, and a few other internal components) have the Model D come with a PM4 monitor.
The only real difference between the Model D and the Model E is that the Model E was designed to be put into globo-gyms as they found a number of members could not physically sit down low enough to the sit and were thus frightened by it. Seriously. Get the model D. It's what all the real rowing clubs and indoor races use. And you can trust my word on this considering I own a rowing club. |
