Choosing proper 5 rep max weight?

For yesterdays WOD of run/squat...how do you figure out the correct or ideal weight to squat? If my 3 rep max is 295?

Do I pick a weight I should JUST be able to complete, or do I figure it out a different way?

Thanks!

I would shoot for 250-270 range for you due to the fact you are going to be sprinting then squatting. That is the key point here you are not only Squatting and have to keep that in mind.

Remember that you are going to be tired, out of breath, and less able to maintain midline stability after runs, especially since it is for time. I would choose a weight that is challenging enough but won't break me in subsequent sets.
