Re: Post Workout

A scoop of Optimum 100% Whey Protein mixed with some milk works for me.

Re: Post Workout

With my post-workout i take 1 cup natural vanilla yogurt, 1 banana, 40-50 grams whey protein mix in a blender with some skim milk.

All fast digesting carbs to replenish glycogen levels, increase insulin sensitivity.

Fats slow down the absorbtion of carbs so you want those to be minimal post-workout.

Also try whey protein shake with water, 2 pieces of white bread with your favorite jelly on them

I'm going to say it, since it hasn't been said yet - Eat Real Food.

Also, here's the link to Robb's post on PWO nutrition http://*************/?p=272(WFS)

Re: Post Workout

Say what you will but I don't want steak right after I workout. I go with a pint of chocolate milk with 2 scoops of protien powder and some caffine.

Re: Post Workout

When you go with the chocolate milk PWO, are you shooting for a certain block amount? How much are we talking? Are you consuming it alone, or as part of a larger meal? And doesn't milk have fat, which I thought we're trying to avoid PWO? Sorry, I've been watching this thread for a while, and hoped these questions would have answered themselves, but the suspense is killing me...

Re: Post Workout

I don't do diets or blocks or any of that, but I'll answer what I can. I drink the chocolate milk (1% or 2%) and protien as soon as I can post workout and then get in a real meal about 2-3 hours later. Good luck with the rest.
