I bought a cheap bar at Dicks. Two inch collars are too big. Any suggestions?? Yeah, I know, you get what you pay for there I said it.

I just got some called "Muscle Clamps" from biggerfasterstronger.com last week. Really like 'em. They cost $29.

I'm feeling the effects of 'get what you pay for' as well. I bought a cheap bar at GI Joe's and my new bumpers don't fit on one end. The diameter can't be more than a few microns too big but the bumpers won't fit. My regular weight plates do but now I've got a higher grade bar on order. Live and learn...

I have a 1-1/2" pipe that I use as a fatbar. The normal olympic size (2") collars don't work on it either. I bought a pair of screw down collars similar to the "SUPER OLYMPIC COLLARS " on this page http://www.newyorkbarbells.tv/collars.html and they work fine.
If you want to keep things REALLY cheap, cut a 5-1/2" length of garden hose, run a hose clamp through it and clamp it around the bar, TIGHT. I use that for the inside collars on my fatbar and they don't budge, even when I stand it on end.
