Re: CF Cycling Jersey...Its Finally Happening

Just trying to keep the thread alive and at the top of the forum. I figure the closer it is to the top, the more people will see it and the more buyers we will have.
Any luck talking to the manufacturers?

Thanks again

(BUMP)

Just keeping the thread alive and close to the top.
Happy Thanksgiving to everyone.
I'm sure there has not been any progress on the jerseys with the Thanksgiving holiday.
We had a good one over here in Baghdad. The mess halls really went all out with decorations and food.

I hope everyone had a happy and thankful holiday.

Still at a stalemate, unfortunately. I have not been able to devote as much time to it as I had anticipated. I am hoping that I will have a little time next month to dedicate to this. I want that jersey!!!

I can only imagine how busy you are. I have been very busy as well. Let me know if there is anything that I can do to help. I believe that you have the artwork from what I remember.

Re: CF Cycling Jersey...Its Finally Happening

Just found this thread and decided to share with you guys the idea my brother and I had for the jersey and bib set for CFE. We had been planning on getting these after training for the Hotter then Hell 100 bike ride. I researched that Champion System does small number custom jerseys and bibs with unlimited colors. I have not contacted them at this time, but I wanted to share the design idea with everyone. I will try contacting them this week about the design idea and how possible it will be to actually create these jerseys. Once I hear back from Champion, I will share with everyone the availablility of the jersey.

Our basic idea was to replace the center logo with the design attached.
Rock Racing border with Crossfit Endurance.
Cadillac (jersey front and back) replaced with Crossfit.
Rock Racing cursive (back of jersey) replaced with Endurance.
On the bibs, replace the logo on each leg with the logo attached and have Crossfit Endurance on the leg border and Crossfit Endurance in cursive on the back of the bibs. Below are unedited images to give you an idea of what I described.

Re: CF Cycling Jersey...Its Finally Happening

Well wasn't on the CF site when this first showed up so not sure if there is still interest. But since it was brought back up to the top figured I would throw in my two cents - I have done jerseys for my bike club for 15 years including the design, ordering, and distribution. If people want this jersey to get done, it can happen. I'm assuming the old artwork is available. If that is the case, it would be a slam dunk. We use Primal Wear to do our custom clothing - their quality is top notch. Champion Systems allows for small quantities however I know several clubs that have used them (due to the smaller order quantities) and they said the quality wasn't as good.

The Skinz are really nice too - great for layering or by themselves. Under Armour type fit but a little heavier material. The artwork can be completely different too. Unlimited colors as well.

Primal Wear can do as low as 25 jerseys in an order. Costs a little more (about $60 at that quantity).

Right now is the "off season" for them so the can be turned around pretty quickly (usually 4-5 weeks after the artwork is approved).

If people are truly interested I don't mind helping out with this. Let me know. PM me if you are serious and would purchase a jersey. I will post the order form I put together for our 2009 jersey.

Re: CF Cycling Jersey...Its Finally Happening

Hey, new poster here. I am a road bike racer turned new CrossFitter due to starting professional school, but hoping to race a little in the late Fall/Spring anyways.
I was in charge of team clothing for a collegiate cycling team for three years that used Champion System because of their price, small order minimums and supposed fast turn around time. Not getting into the details, their stuff is inexpensive because it is cheaply constructed, their staff isn't the most courteous and their fast turn around time was the same slow turn around time as every other bike clothing supplier I've ever heard about or used.
All that aside, I would be game for a CrossFit jersey if it didn't look anything like that of Rock Racing. Retro or plaid or some other cool design would be pretty aight, but, in the cycling world, IMHO, imitation is only flattering when you are going fast because you are imitating the day job Cat 1s or the immortal pros.

Re: CF Cycling Jersey...Its Finally Happening

I still have all of the original artwork that I did when this first started out. We can go with the new or the old. It does not matter to me. I just think we need someone to go with it and run with it.
