Hero WOD: "Desforges"

Five rounds for time of:
225 pound Deadlift, 12 reps
20 Pull-ups
135 pound Clean and jerk, 12 reps
20 Knees to elbows


going at that one with all you've got...**********....

Today's WOD was:

Strength work: 3,3,3 weighted pullups (50 lb, 65 lb, 75 lb)

Then:

10,9,8,7,6,5,4,3,2,1 (55 total reps)
Clean and Jerk, 135 lb
After each set of C&J do
5 pullups (45 total reps)
10 pushups (90 total reps)
15 air squats (135 total reps)

Took my 5'10", 165 lb self 31:19 on this warm May afternoon and I am cooked.

Only about 4 months into crossfit...every workout "sucks" in it's own way.

Did this one a couple friday's ago, its been the most difficult one for me thus far.
50 back squats 135
40 pull ups
30 shoulder to overhead 135
50 front squats 85
40 pull ups
30 shoulder to overhead 85
50 overhead squats 65
40 pull ups
30 shoulder to overhead 65

My first run at Barbara yesterday, that left me lightheaded for a little while
Looking forward to my first attempt at Murph on Memorial Day.

This is the most deceptively hard one I have ever done...please give it a try if you don't believe me.
5 RFT:
21 Turkish Get-Ups (45/ 33# barbell)
400 m Run

Something about the laying down during the TGUs that kills your drive.

Amazingly, I've been put through that same one! That was miserable... And the trainer at my box decided to start at 1 rep of clean and jerk and then move up to 10... Those last few rounds were torture

I did that one at CF St Paul about a months ago, except it was 155lb c&js and we counted up from one to 10. 38:xx for me. Very tough workout, but nowhere near the lungs exploding, someone shoot me, why did I ever think crossfit was a good idea experience that Kalsu was.

That is the CF Games regional WOD#4. Rich Froening did it in 15:29, so it can't be that hard!

I did the women's weights for this one, scaled all reps to 30, and it still took over 18 minutes!

Hahahaha...i started rx but had to drop the 25's off the shoulder to overhead because I physically couldn't get it done and I would've had to sacrifice form. Finally getting my kip down and I ended up with an unimpressive 33+ minutes. I'd like to give this another run in a few months once I have a better grasp on the kip, I lost so much time coming off the bar.
