Been playing with my clubells and a BOSU lately. There's a great BOSU move where you squat down with it behind you, then layback (which feels like you're on unstable abmat)and put your feet out, so your balanced like a board, then situp and stand up. Can be done for high reps.
So I did a workout mixing clubell mills and swipes, KB DARC swings and this BOSU move. The idea was to go 20 minutes without stopping, so i kept my breath nice and steady. It kind of reminded me of what we try to do in Jujitsu - trying to keep the breath calm. Might be an interesting thing to try on days when you need a less then "sell out" workout. |

BILL A kid at the gym broke my BOSU yesterday :-(, and he's only about 45kg.
Im not impressed. He jumped on it and the bubble popped off the platform. And he went *** up. Have you or any one else ever heared of this happening before? I think i can fix it no actually damage to any of the parts, it just looks like a DIY kit now. I should just be able to unscrew outer rim at the sides and reinsert the bubble.I hope |

Bill - sounds like fun! I may give it a shot if I get access to a BOSU ball. (BTW - Nice to see you again!)
As I was showing Kelly and Lynne at the ICS Midwest Regionals, my own Mills have become quite breath-intensive. It is the exhalation and hip sway that drives the whole movement, rather than the shoulders. It makes Mills a truly whole-body experience, and works great for high-volume, high-velocity training! |
