I guess that this will be the toughest Open yet!

All of the previous opens were tests for regionals and the online qualifier but this time it’s a ticket to the games on the line, so I don’t see 1 workout a week, I see part 1 & 2 or 2 separate wods for the duration. Basically adding the regional wods to the open.

Castro is not going to plan something that simple, this time he has his reputation on the line to make sure only the best make it, so he has to bring it to the table and set the new standard.

This will split up all of the groups and finally we will the chance to really match ourselves with the best.

Guess they wish to keep us in the dark longer. Hehe

I could see some workouts like past opens where you have 3 or 4 min to do segmented work. Next time domain you add weight or reps making. Eventually to where no one can finish the workout.

Change is good but a lot of changing without the info makes one nervous.

Good news it that the sanctioned events are going to be star studded.

Having so many different sanctioned events this year makes the competition feel much more fragmented. My interest in following the events and athletes has tanked.

Lets face it. CrossFit does an excellent job at the regionals/games. They think of so many little things like layout, rigs, numbering the reps on the mats you name it. The Dubai lacked so much. Hopefully WZA will represent with some actual team events.

I wonder how many athletes will go team this year all because there is no rule book.

Heard something like over 50% of the open is masters 35+? No rule book on how the masters go to games or if they go at all? I would think that masters are the majority of the box owners, peeps who purchase the most gear, keep the people in the industry going. I wonder how popular the open will be? Is CF growing?
