Does anyone have any ideas for a WOD that incorporates swimming?

Ralph, if you go to Military Fitness.org and scroll down about halfway, you'll see some underwater fun, but don't tell Coach, or we'll all be taking our kettlebells to the pool!

Wow, thanks Lynne!
I can picture myself now, doing cleans and snatchs in the ocean, waves constantly throwing me off balance and my feet slowly sinking into the sand.

I never thought I'd need a snorkel to survive a WOD!

And in between sets of cleans and snatches, you could have "body-surf for 10 reps, swim 100 yards, tow a boat half a mile..." Hey, wait! I think we've invented SEAL training!

Give this one a try. Swim a 50 or 100 hard. Get out. Execute 10 push-ups/10 squats/10 sit-ups Repeat. Time Priority- How many sets can you do in 20 minutes. Task Priority- How long does it take you to perform 7 rounds.

LIVE STRONG!

Following on Mike's idea, give this a shot:
swim 100m then follow with one arm db swings, c&j or snatch as a couplet. I like using 30-40% bodyweight for the db exercises and 5-10 reps.

I'd stick with bodyweight exercises unless you own the pool -- I've no question what reaction I'd get from the lifeguards around here if I tried to haul in barbells and dumbbells and do olympic lifts with wet feet.

This variation around water sound great, I got to try some! I am around the pool alot more these days, my girlfriend plays underwater hockey. Here's a link since most people haven't heard of it.
