Oh yeah, and do them while wearing a weight vest. That'll get your bones, muscles and stomach shaking.:puke0000:

Daniel I have to definately agree with you. MA animal walks are really brutal. Ryan Atkins of Crossfit Racine here in Wisconsin is a BJJ instructor also and he had me do a wounded dog and a drunken monkey crawl...oooooohh the strain of doing those were beyond words.
Needless to say, I was greatly humbled.

I was thinking that a tabata animal crawl race would be a fun workout for a large group. It would be like a contorted game of red-light green-light.

Medicine ball burpeeshttp://www.diablocrossfit.com/archiv...iday.html#more

I also do the same thing with a 44 lb kettle bell (haven't got the pics up).

You should also read the "Medicine Ball Bible" as I call it (posted on the main page on Saturday 060805 - Aug 5th). Tons of great stuff.

There is also the Navy Gymnastics manual you can get through the journals. Hundreds of pages of 'old school' stuff that is a ton of fun!

My football coach (Coach Jacobs) had us do animal "walks" and sprints on the football field. It was called Jacob's Ladder. You sprint acroos the width of the field at the goal line and bear crawl to the 10 yard line. Sprint back across th field and crab to the 20. Continue up the whole field. That was 1 rep. Somedays his torture would be 5 reps after practice. That's about 2,650 yeards of sprinting and 500 yards bear crawling/ crab walking. It hurt really bad... Maybe that's why I'd drop about 35lbs each season.

Jeremy, thanks a lot, the medicine ball manual is awesome. Do you know what issue the Gymnastics Manual is in?
