Fantastic Italian Race Bikes - Wilier (One Large, One Small)

Hi!

Would anyone have suggestions on how we can best reach out to the racing bike community? We have two Wilier Racing Bikes for sale.....used only once and in like-new condition. We had these hand-built for us in Italy and then decided we liked mountain biking better.

Here are the details for each bike:

2005 Wilier Lavaredo Racing Bike - Large Frame
Like new condition, ridden outside once, used occasionally on indoor trainer. Same bike as 2006, but better graphics.
Specs:
Large frame (50 cm seat tube, 54.5 cm top tube) fits riders 510 to 62; Columbus Altec 2 Plus aluminum frame with carbon seat stays. Fork: Columbus Lynk carbon.
Campagnolo Centaur 20 speed components
Moena Pro rims and hubs
San Marco saddle w/ Ritchey Comp seat post
Ritchey bar and stem
Syntace C2 bars
Look A3.1 pedals and clips included

2005 Wilier Lavaredo Racing Bike - Small Frame
Like new condition, ridden outside once, used occasionally on indoor trainer. Same bike as 2006, but better graphics.
Specs:
Small frame (46 cm seat tube, 51.5cm top tube) fits riders 52 to 57; Columbus Altec 2 Plus aluminum frame with carbon seat stays. Fork: Columbus Lynk carbon.
Campagnolo Centaur 20 speed components
Moena Pro rims and hubs
Selle Italia saddle w/ Ritchey Comp seat post
Ritchey bar and stem
Look A3.1 pedals and clips included

These are fantastic Italian bikes in like-new condition, purchase price was over $3100 each. Asking $1950 each.

Any suggestions on how to get the word out would be greatly appreciated. Also, I'll be happy to email pictures to anyone interested.

Many thanks in advance!

Lisa

You can try craigslist. Also, talk to some local bike shops; they can probably put you in touch with your local racing community better than the people on this board.

I know MTBR has a classifieds, As does RBR (Road Bike Review). The best way to sell these bikes is to get your ad to people that can appreciate what you have to sell. I'd also post it on as many road cycling forums as well. Don't know how effective CraigsList will be, I have seen a number of high end bikes just languish on CL. Can't hurt to post there as well.

RBR Classifieds (w/f/s)

Hope this helps. Check out MTBR as well.

PS: You made the right choice, mountain biking is way more fun.

Thanks, Clay. This is a huge help. And yes, these will have to reach a specific audience to have a prayer of selling them. And I'm laughing about your mountain-biking comment......don't know what we were thinking when we bought these! One of our biggest brain far#s ever to date!

Good deal and good luck. If you guys need any suggestions as far as frames/MTB bikes let me know, as I have a first grade addiction going.
