Exclamation Crazy Workout Ideas

We are starting a new video series where we do crazy workouts that have been suggested by others.

If you have any crazy workout ideas for us, please leave us a comment here: Crazy Workout Ideas

The weirder your idea is the better. Can't wait to hear what you come up with.

Re: Crazy Workout Ideas

Here's the thing....

Are you into IMPROVING yourself?

Or are you just trying to exercise?

There's a big difference, you know, and doing crazy workouts (especially ones that are long and/or have massively high reps) is just throwing **** against the wall and trying to make it stick. It won't make you better or significant improve yourself.

I would think most people here are trying to get better at what they do and improve their capacity.

This requires smart programming and not just throwing long hard workouts at themselves.

Re: Crazy Workout Ideas

You guys give me the impression of being "under the influence" in that short clip.

Here's a crazy workout:

24 Hours of Burpees for time

Re: Crazy Workout Ideas

These have always been my favorites

"Darwin"
21-15-9
* Kicks to the Nuts
* Punches to the Face

"Tabata Darwin"
20 seconds on/10 seconds rest
* Beer Chug
* Sprints across the highway
* Freesolo rock climbing
* Burpees
Note: If you don't make it to the burpees, it's ok, we'll still cheer you on.

"Honorable Discharge"
1 Round for Time
* Think about what you'll be promoting when you do this
* Put the Camera down
* Train intelligently

We were, under the influence of endorphins, we had just finished a 10K run.

Yes. Which is why we are trying to stay away from workouts that include "Kicks to the Nuts," "Punches to the Face, or a "Beer Chug."

Maybe we're giving off the wrong impression. We still want good programming, but something more outside of the box. Most crossfit workouts are intelligently designed to be available to the masses by sticking to the standard crossfit equipment (oly bars, kettlebells, med balls, pull-up bars, etc.). Just last Sunday was the first time I had seen a main site WOD that had incorporated swimming, which I thought was really cool. We're thinking more in that direction, using out of the ordinary equipment (rocks, watermelons, cars, strange heavy objects) or using out of the ordinary terrain (water, trees, stadium stairs, etc.).

When we say "crazy workouts" we don't mean crazy 24 hr long marathon workouts, although we may want to do some of those too, but more so we mean crazy as in very unusual workouts that you've never seen done before but are still effective, and hopefully entertaining to watch.

Re: Crazy Workout Ideas

Run the Boston Marathon backwards while juggling. I would've said just run it normal while juggling but this guy is already doing that:
