Any place that sells them wants to get rid of them.
See also the NUMEROUS threads on the same subject at the bottom of this post.

Re: tractor tires

I tried searching google and came up with this one website http://www.wwfinc.net/Tires%20With%20Pictures.html for you (WFS).. they might be a 30 minute drive or so from you but if you want, try calling and asking if they have waste tires that you can take. I ended up having to call 7 different truck tire centers before I found one that was happy to let me take whatever I want. Some of them don't want people to take tires for environmental reasons I guess but I just explained it was for exercise in my backyard. That W.W.F place looks like they have a lot of tires (They look really big though.. so I'm not sure you can use these , but they probably would be able to source whatever you are looking for)

If you can't get it from them then try looking in your yellowpages or searching online for truck tire service centers and call around.

Re: tractor tires

Aaron-

I got mine for free from a public works department. It costs them $$$ to dispose of the tire, plus they have to cut it in half to dispose of the tire. So, win/ win in both money and time for PW dept to give it to me.

Re: tractor tires

I got mine from a tire shop that dealt with tractors, got it for free. Just ask, they don't want to pay to get rid of it.

I moved to Denver and was wondering the same thing. Since I would assume others local to Denver would also like something more specific than, "ask at tire stores," I thought I'd post what I found. As this topic comes up fairly often, I thought I'd just keep it to this old thread, rather than plug up the forums with more threads on the same topic.

Re: tractor tires

I went today and picked up the one in the picture for $15. They had acres of suitable tires to be had. It was worth it to get my pick of the tires. I was able to find exactly what I was looking for, and one that wasn't falling apart like many I have seen from random tire stores.
