definitley not I took 50 min to work on shoulders and hips mobility. You would want bouncing off the bottom and good position vertical thrusters. For PU you would want a bit wider than regular PU alternate grip. Otherwise your forearm will tire very quickly. Wider placing will minimize the distance to cover a bit. Shoulders have to be very loose for that.

Got 82. First set was unbroken both. Second was 8/7 Thruster, and then some mess on the pullups. Finished it at 2:30 but couldn't do the third round in 1:30.

Will try and again tomorrow doing unbroken thrusters (hopefully) and 5-5-5 on the CTB kipping..

First round I finished in a little under a minute, stood around and breathed until I hit 1:10, then kept going. Rested 5-10 seconds after round 2, finished round 3 about 3:52. I was watching the clock and not going any faster than I had to (not that I could have gone much faster). No way I could have gotten past 4 min with conventional kip.

My fran time is ~2:35 and I can pretty consistently do 8-10 rep sets of butterfly CTB in easier WoDs. Hope that's useful info for people.

I got 69. 15&15 unbroken felt fine. Next 15 thrusters unbroken then 5,5,3,1,1 kipping C2B. The third set of thrusters-5,3,1 and done. Honestly the first 30 thrusters did not seem like that big of a deal.

If you watched my first 45 reps you'd think I was destined for 100+ reps. I just run out of gas/muscle. I suppose a little less rest woulda gotten me through the next 15 thrusters but I did what I did.

Considering my best Fran six months ago was 4:50, 90 reps would have taken a miracle.

Glad the Open is done for me.

Probably the most demoralizing workout I've ever done. Redoing it Sunday (only open wod I've ever redone.)

Well I did it as an out of shape guy (haven't really crossfitted since October.)

Round 1 1:05 split (unbroken kipping)
Round 2 11/4 on Thrusters.. then spent rest of time working on C2B... 2 no reps hurt... finished with no time to get back... man i was spent when I got 3 reps on that C2B the 2nd round... maybe I should have broken up first set to 5/5/5 and would have done better on 2nd round...

Not going to try again 60 reps and done... definitely harder than 'normal' fran

always so tempting to go after it really hard right away . but holding back a bit, and staying within the comfort zone is often the best strategy, even with a 4 min workout (for us "out of shape" guys )

Going after it today at 4pm. I did a "round" last night just to crank up the engine and see. Planned on 10-5/8-7. Ended up 10-5 then 8-4-3. 1:20 split and I felt pretty good. I could hit the thrusters unbroken for sure and 10-5 the pu's but I think this would be dumb for me to do (even though I usually like to go out hard/fast)

So, plan is 10-5/5-5-5 then 8-7/5-5-5 if at all possible. I'm pretty good on pu's but I know when you hit the wall on ctb, you hit the wall. My goal is to get done with rd two and hopefully have a minute to spare for thrusters.

70 is the goal.
