I have a question about joint stiffness, how or what should I do to allieviate stiffness? I wonder if there is something I'm missing in my diet that may be helping, like maybe more water. I would appreciate any advise on how to loosen up this stiffness, especially in my shoulders and legs.

Joint stiffness, or muscle stiffness? Meaning are you generally feeling tight, or do the joints themselves ache?

Ever looked into a joint mobility program? Or even band traction may be of assistance.

Joint mobility programs include(but not limited):
Z-health dvd
Warrior Wellness (not sure of the format)
Magnificent Mobility DVD
Joint Mobility DVD by steve maxwell

Band traction:

1. stretch
2. myofascial release (foam rolling)
3. fish oil

if that doesn't work, you can get more aggressive, e.g. for joint aching try eliminating tomatoes & peppers, for muscle stiffness/ROM issues, increase frequency and intensity of stretching/rolling.

Thank you for your advice. I'm going to try it to see if it will alleviate this stiffness.

Agreed with tomatoes and peppers, you may want to eliminate potatoes, sweet potatoes, eggplants, etc. as well for two to four weeks and see how you feel, especially if your symptoms are worse in the morning.

Water and stretching, of course.
