Fight gone bad - female
I know this info is in the forums somewhere but I just cannot find a definitive answer. When it comes to the official or prescribed workout for FGB, what are the female exercises. 75# or 55#, 20# ball or 14#, 20" step? Any input would be appreciated.

Re: Fight gone bad - female
This has been an issue of debate at our facility and we have not been able to find "official" criteria when it comes to females. Thanks for the confirmation.

Re: Fight gone bad - female
In one crossfit radio episode Nicole mentioned that female weights are normally prescribed at 70% of male weights. In running through the most common examples, it seems to work out properly.
I was glad to hear this. howard |

Re: Fight gone bad - female
There's been a couple of threads about this....but actually women's weights should be more like 2/3 (66%) of men's - although it does tend to be rounded to whatever is easier to load on the bar.
In that case, I think women should use 50# for FGB. Sorry to change my mind, but that's what I think. 65/95=.68 16/24=.66 (kettlebells) 95/135=.7 which is why i think we should use 85/135=.63 14/20=.7 12/20=.6 (a lot of facilties use a 12# med ball for women) 33/44=.75 (filthy fifty - women use women's bar, men use men's bar when we did this last we had our gals use 30# because we don't have a women's bar) 45/65 = .70 (AMRAP in 20 minutes 10 pullups 10 thrusters) more thoughts? |
