Re: looking for something to go with hummus

I take out the yolk of hard-boiled eggs and replace them with hummus.

Re: looking for something to go with hummus

Hardcore hummus eaters here in Israel (almost everyone) shovel it up with raw onion. Cut the onion in four and seperate the layers to prouce "spoons". This shouldn't be used if you are a "close-talker".

I would rather make a thick tehina paste which is paleo. blend or mix in bowl
tehina with juice of a lemon, some salt, parsley, garlic and water (I like to add cumin too) to dilute til consistency desired! You can also add some olive oil if you need more fat!
What's tehina? Wikipedia shows nothing.

Nevermind, found it as tahini. Thanks.

Ezekiel Bread... It's not on the Zone or Paleo, but it's gluten free and low on the glycemic index. You can't buy it at a regular grocery store. You'll have to go to Whole Foods, Trader Joe's or some other natural food chain.

Re: looking for something to go with hummus

What they sell here in stores is not that good either. For good hummus you have to either make your own (not hard at all) or go to a good hummus place (tons of these scattered everywhere).
