going on vacation need workout ideas
i'm going on vacation in the next few weeks and will be away from the gym. i am going to bring running shoes, jump rope, 55 lb kettlebell, hopefully a make shift pull up bar and plyo box somewhere, i would like to get in 3 workouts but i'm terrible at coming up with them, i just end up doing the same things over and over.
any help is appreciated. |

Websters defines vacation as a scheduled period during which activity is suspended. I say you take your vacation and enjoy the time off.

Well I guess there are some people who like to stay active during their vacation haha.
Some of the Girls can be done with the equipment you are bringing "Annie": 50-40-30-20-10 of double-unders and sit ups "Barbara": 5 rounds of 20 pull ups 30 push ups 40 sit ups 50 squats rest 3 min "Helen": 3 rounds 400 meter run 21 KB swings 12 pull ups "Eva" (Helen's big sister) 5 rounds 800 mete run 30 KB swings 30 pull ups "Nicole": AMRAP in 20 min 400 meter run Max rep pull ups the rest of the Girls and Hero WODs are on this page http://www.crossfit.com/cf-info/faq.html#WOD0 |

For me when I go on vacation, I either take the time off from training or use the opportunity to do something I typically don't. Sometimes, I'll go to a globo for the guess pass fee and do more of a typical bodybuilding workout. When I've been to the beach, I'll do some body weight stuff in the sand and ocean--sprints in the sand can be pretty brutal.
If you don't run a lot, maybe you should get some of those in. Or take the time to do a WOD in water or a big hike. But, I'd highly suggest doing something you typically don't. You can always go home and do most typical WODs. Where are you headed? |

Here are a few quick under 30 minutes you can do
15 minutes, 30 seconds kettlebell swings, 30 seconds jumping rope repeat on the top of each minute. Rest 3:00, Do 2:00 of burpees 20 rounds, 5 L, 5R kettlebell snatch start at the top of each minute Jump rope for 20 minutes total. Rest as needed until you finish. 10 sets of 10 kettlebell swings, ladder burpees up to 10 So it would look like 10 swings 1 burpee, 10 swings 2 burpees, etc. Finally 10 sets start new set at the top of 3rd minute. 5 burpees 5 snatches, L, R 15 Mountain Climbers 20 Swings |
