Question about zone and weight loss.

Hello.

I just have a few quick questions. As of this morning I weigh 178lbs, about 10-12% bf. I am currently doing 16 blocks on the zone diet. I was reading a few articles and what I got from it was if you want to lean out even more double up you fat blocks.

If I do so wont i be taking in more calories thus no weight loss? also do I have to cut back on my carb blocks since i am increasing my fat blocks??

thanks

Re: Question about zone and weight loss.

That is the second time I've head this today. The standard advice is that once you get down to your desired leanness and performance starts to falter, THEN you increase your fat to 2x, then 3x if needed, etc. The idea being, as I understand it and blatantly regurgitate what CF/wolf has taught me, is that now your body is a fine tuned fat-being-used-as-energy machine and the fat is fueling your wod's, etc. More or less.

IFF you are having trouble chowing down all those calories, or maybe are stuck, THEN switch some C's to F's in a 1c to 3f ratio.

If you are not losing more fat, but wish to, and you have already gone no grains and no sugars, then you might want to try replacing some c's for 3f's. I would recommend being clean no grains/sugars first, but whatever works for you. No grains no sugars works pretty darn well.

Not sure what articles you are reading; but CFJ15 and 21, and RWolf's "42 ways" from Pmenu.com are the ones to read/buy.

Hope that helped.

Re: Question about zone and weight loss.

Thanks for your help. I did read the CFJ and im going to buy mastering the zone this week. Overall i have lost about 8-10 lbs doing CF. Which im please about and the last 2 lbs of it i have been on the zone diet.

I will keep it at 1x for now till i see a decrease in profromance.
