Yeah the subject is a little goofy.. I wanted to get your attention :-)

My question is in regards to uptake of "bad" stuff. I have read that the best way to take supplements like fish oil is that you should take a little each time, multiple times a day, instead of one big plug.

Does this also apply when eating normal food? That is, one giant block of spinash vs. smaller blocks throughout the day - which is better in terms of nutrient uptake?

Same for the bad stuff - if I eat an entire solid chocolate Easter bunny in one sitting, will I get less fat than if I eat small bits of it over the course of a week?

As for the chocolate... I'm no expert but I'm willing to bet what you ate can't really be considered "chocolate". That is, it's really mostly sugar. Look at the ingredients - if the first thing is sugar, then it's less than 50% cocoa (bad). If the first ingredient is cocoa then it's at least 50% cocoa, and nice and dark.

We're talking the difference here between a mostly sugary thing and a mostly fatty thing. In the former case, it would likely spike your blood sugar, prompting your body to release insulin and create fat. I don't know what would happen in the other case.

Also I hear that the better quality the chocolate is, the less cockroaches there are in it.

Cockroaches are protein...so wouldn't that make the chocolate better? =p

Dark chocolate, mmmmmm... In moderation of course! Just don't make me wise to cockroaches.
